Nestling
deep in the countryside on the bank of the River Thames is a 17th century pub that is just
waiting to be discovered. Landlord Chris Green bought the Trout at Tadpole Bridge in
1996 and has since ensured the highest of standards for food, ales, wine and accommodation. . The Trout has become widely renowned for the quality of its cuisine gaining an entry in The Good Food Guide and others. The high standard is maintained by Chris who is now running the kitchen as Chef Patron. A new dining room has been added to keep up with the demand from diners. This room can also be used for conferences and private parties.
There is an excellent wine list to complement the fabulous food, and in addition there are ten house wines available by the glass. The quality of the real ale has earned The Trout an entry in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide. With six en suite luxury bedrooms also available The Trout has become a great centre for holidays, special group events, including weddings, and corporate hospitality.
